This is a surcharge paid on top of piano lessons for students taking exams.

Exam preparatory lessons are generally face-to-face at the teacher’s house for students who want to take exams. Jane offers Trinity, ABRSM, Rock School and any other exams if required.

Because of the way the studio is set up, students can take most exams in the comfort of familiar surroundings, as Jane caters for the Performance Exams…meaning she can make the video whenever the student is ready and simply upload when everyone is satisfied with what has been recorded. Much less stressful for those early days! Performance Exams, or Digital Exams, carry the same weighting as external exams.

Alongside exam prep, Jane Lane Piano offers you the opportunity to follow a unique creative piano course leading to proficiency and also learn appropriate levels of theory, sight-reading skills and so forth. Jane has a high level of experience both as a conventional piano teacher (lessons aimed towards grades) and motivational teaching. She has worked hard to make exams much more of a fun event and less of a trial.
